Who We Are
Vyo ("we", "us", "our") is a personal AI wellness management application operated by Vishal Kataria, an individual operating as a sole proprietor based in Palwal, Haryana, India.
Vyo is accessible at https://vyo-app.onrender.com and through our Progressive Web App (PWA).
By using Vyo, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Information We Collect
Information you provide directly:
- Account information — name, email address, password
- Wellness data — mood logs, sleep times, water intake, nutrition logs, journal entries, breathing sessions
- Health information — health conditions you choose to share (diabetes, blood pressure, thyroid etc.) and medical reports you upload
- Goals & intentions — personal goals, weekly intentions and planner entries
- AI conversations — messages you send to Vyo AI
Information collected automatically:
- Usage data — features used, timestamps of activity
- Device information — browser type, device type (for optimising your experience)
- Session data — login sessions managed securely via Supabase
Information from third parties:
- Google OAuth — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google
How We Use Your Information
We use your information solely to provide and improve your Vyo experience:
- To create and manage your account
- To track and display your wellness data on your dashboard
- To generate personalised AI insights, recommendations and reports
- To analyse your medical reports and provide dietary and lifestyle guidance
- To send wellness reminders and notifications (only if you enable them)
- To calculate your Vyoma Score and streaks
- To improve the accuracy and relevance of Vyo AI responses
- To maintain platform security and prevent abuse

How We Store & Protect Your Data
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database) with the following protections:
- Row Level Security (RLS) — each user can only access their own data
- Encryption in transit — all data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS
- Encryption at rest — Supabase encrypts stored data
- Secure authentication — passwords are hashed, never stored in plain text
- Session management — sessions expire and are managed securely
Medical reports you upload are processed by Google Gemini AI and the analysis is stored in our database. The original PDF is not permanently stored after analysis.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account.
AI & Third-Party Services
Vyo uses Google Gemini AI to power the Vyo AI chat, medical report analysis, weekly reports and health insights. When you interact with Vyo AI:
- Your messages and wellness context are sent to Google Gemini API
- Google processes these messages to generate responses
- Conversation history is stored in our database to provide continuity
- You can clear your AI memory at any time from Settings → Clear AI Memory
When you upload a medical report, the PDF content is sent to Google Gemini for analysis. Please do not upload documents containing information beyond what is necessary for health analysis.
Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access — view all your data via Settings → Export My Data
- Correction — update your name, preferences and health info in Settings
- Deletion — permanently delete your account and all data via Settings → Delete Account
- Portability — download your complete data as a JSON file via Settings → Export My Data
- Withdrawal — disable notifications and revoke Google access at any time

Children's Privacy
Vyo is not intended for children under the age of 13 years. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided personal information to Vyo, please contact us immediately at [email protected] and we will delete such information promptly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
For significant changes, we will notify you through the Vyo app or by email. Your continued use of Vyo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
